The WVSRPA conducts fund raising throughout the year. Fundraising can be for specific programs or for general association operations.

2026 Raffle Results

The winner of the Springfield Echelon is Frank O’Leary. He bought the winning ticket at the Morgantown Fishing, Hunting & Outdoor Sports Show in March, two weeks before the drawing at our annual meeting. Frank is from Waynesburg, PA, but is now a member of the West Virginia R&P Association. Frank said he is not a competitive shooter but does a bit of hunting and plinking. His time in the Army soured him on gun cleaning! He’s looking forward to using his new pistol with his wife, and especially to teaching his son more about safe shooting.

Brian Spiker is the lucky winner of the MI rifle. I say lucky because while he has bought gun bash tickets, raffle tickets, etc., he has never won a gun. He is a life NRA member, a pistol instructor, and a gunsmith. He did own a gun shop, but medical conditions have put many of his activities on hold. Hunting and fishing are not on hold!. He’s excited to own an M1, maybe the one his grandfather carried in Korea (?). Now that he is a member, we hope he will be active in our Association.

2026 12th Annual M1 Garand Raffle / Springfield Armory 9mm Echelon Raffle

Raffle tickets, for the M1 Garand and the Springfield Armory 9mm Echelon, are in hand and ready for delivery. As published, in the last Newsletter, the M1 Garand tickets cost $5.00 for 1 or $10.00 for 3, for three; the Springfield Armory 9mm Echelon, tickets cost $5.00 for 1 or $10.00 for 3, for three. Winners will be drawn, for both raffles, at the Annual Members Meeting, in March 2026. Winner need not be present to win.

Proceeds, from the sales, are used to support junior shooting programs, exclusively, in West Virginia.
