At the Members’ Annual Meeting on March 14th the raffle winners were announced.

Jeffrey Merz of Bruceton Mills was the winner of the M1 Garand, and Tom Hayden of Jefferson County won the Sig Sauer P365 9mm pistol.

Both gentlemen were in attendance at the meeting – the first time that’s ever occurred. Net proceeds from the M1 Garand raffle totaled $1,810.00, which will be distributed to WVSRPA affiliated junior programs in the State. The two current programs are the WV Junior Marksmanship Program from the Buckhannon area and the Junior Program of the Putnam County Gun Club. The Sig Sauer raffle netted $915.00. Those proceeds go to the Association’s operating funds, to help pay the bills. Thanks to all who participated in the raffles, which are key elements of our annual fund-raising efforts. The 2021 raffles will commence with the Board of Directors meeting in June and will, once again, include an M1 Garand, as well as a yet-to-be determined gun.

The winner of the M1 Garand is Jeff Merz. The winner of the P365 is Tom Hayden.
